CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1968 Volkswagen (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code is normally located in the back compartment panel in the trunk. Click here for Volkswagen paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1968 Volkswagen (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jim, owner of a 1968 Volkswagen from Jacksonville, Fl

Automotive Touchup is the best. I called, gave them the info they needed and within three days I had my paint and everything is good. Again, these people are as good as their word. Jim Couch-Jacksonville, Fl. The paint was for a touch up on a 1968 VW custom.

Steve H, owner of a 1973 Volkswagen from Aurota, OH

Paint matched my 73 VW Beetle very nicely, spray can was nice.

Delighted Customer, owner of a 1996 Volkswagen Golf from Montreal, Canada

I am from Montreal, Canada and I don't believe the customer service and your great products I have received. Unbelievable. Your products are fantastic to use and spray. I used my compressor and a spray unit to paint my son's car. He is 18 years old and I am the pride of his life. Thank you. Your products and instructions are so easy to USE.... My son's Volkswagen 1996 Golf came out brand new. I am so happy that I purchased from you great guys and gals.
