CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1968 Mercedes-Benz (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. This paint is some of the best I have ever used. In addition to the excellent product, the directions are equally as well done and the shipping is fast and well packed. The prep and technique are key, one very important point I learned the hard way was don't sand in between the base and clear coat applications. the clear coat is a smaller finer molecule that really fills in the rough base just as described and make it look perfect.
