To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1972 GMC (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. You hit the color match great. My truck is yellow, I think they call it Hummer Yellow and the GM touch up paint applicator I had dried up years ago. I have not been able to find this paint anywhere, none of the Autozone's or Advance Auto's had it, nor did the dealers(unless I special ordered it at a crazy price).
