To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1972 GMC (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Great service...good price. When trying to unscrew the top...it is difficult to get it to come apart without yanking and possibly spilling the contents. Being a painter by trade, I have opened hundreds of different containers of paint...I've never had this problem before. If you calculated the price of this 2 oz. of paint by the gallon...it would be extremely expensive to spill even a drop. Color match was fine.
