CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Chevrolet Impala, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Chevrolet Impala is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jim, owner of a 1999 Chevrolet from Redwood City, CA

I have a hotrod that needed some touch up paint. I new the name of the color just not the manufacturer. The web site was helpful to find a comparable color. Because of the size of the Touch Up paint and Spray at a reasonable price I took a chance. The shipment arrived on time and the color was extremely close. I ordered more after trying the first shipment. Very good product as well, covers well and dries quickly.

James K, owner of a 1999 Chevrolet Full Pickup from East Bernard, TX

Had a very pleasant and professional experience. Dealer tried to tell me that the color I was looking for was NOT made in that year. Went to your website, found the color code and the perfect color. Ordered the product. Received quick delivery. Went to work and within a couple of hours I was able to complete at job that was quoted as around $500.00 in well under a $100.00 The important thing, is that it looks GREAT!!!! Thanks for the super professional help. JEK
