CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Chevrolet Camaro, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Chevrolet Camaro is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Dave Newman, owner of a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro from Nashville, TN

I received my primer, basecoat, prep and clear coat. It was a perfect match on a 1998 Camaro color 13. It went on great and looks wonderful. Thanks for everything. Dave Newman Nashville, TN

Nina M, owner of a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe from CA

Your website is a one way stop for anybody who needs a car color fix. I especially appreciate the section that explains where to find a color code for every particular car model. I would never know to look for it in the glove compartment of my tachoe. Thank you!

Glenn, owner of a 1999 Chevrolet S10 Pickup

Good paint, the little cans are annoying but my hood looks good. Going to do the roof and bumpers when I have time.
