CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1942 Chevrolet (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1942 Chevrolet (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Happy Customer, owner of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado from Fresno, California

I ordered the 1/2 oz bottle of Touch Up Paint for my white Chevy Silverado truck. When it came, I followed the directions and cleaned the area first. I touched up the two scratches with the applicator and then waited for it to dry. It dried very fast and looks great. The color matches exactly with the original paint. You can't even tell where the scratches where. Thanks AutomotiveTouchUp for the great product. I'm keeping the remaining paint for any future dings or scratches.

Steve, owner of a 1955 Chevrolet from Pennsylvania

I used your paint on my dashboard and other inside trim pieces. It is beautiful and so easy to spray. I used the paint sprayer that attaches to the aerosol can and it worked great. I have used other paint and no way does it come close to your products. The base coat went on just like using a compressor attached to a spray gun. The clearcoat was also excellent. A beautiful glossy shine. My next project is painting the firewall. I will then be painting the whole car using your auto paint for spray guns. I will pass this information to the forum that I suscribe to. Thank you Steve

Andrew O, owner of a 2008 Chevrolet Impala from Kingston, MA

I've used other brands and not had the good experience I did with your products. The color match was right on the money (GM WA994L) and the clearcoat brought out the shine and metal flake look perfectly. Local body shops wanted over $1000 to do what I did for less than $50 and it looks darned good. I'm definitely a fan.
