CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1978 Cadillac (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1978 Cadillac (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Mike, owner of a 1978 Cadillac from Kaneville, Illinois

I ordered a pretty obscure color (Ruidoso Saddle) for my 22,000 miles 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. It's original finish is pristine. So, I'm kind of finicky. I needed to paint the plastic filler panels that tend to crack.I am a fairly accomplished amateur restorer and have painted many cars, so I know how hard it is to match paints.I was amazed at how perfect the match was for my car! Really.... dead on! Very happy customer and have ordered more to have on hand!

Phyllis N, owner of a 1960 Cadillac from Seneca, IL

My husband is very happy with the touchup paint we purchased. Our 1960 Cadillac now has perfect looking and matching fender skirts! Color is excellent. Thanks.

Satisfied Customer, owner of a 1973 Cadillac from Blacklick, OH

My 1973 Eldorado convertible was repainted by the second owner several years before I bought it from him in 1988. He said it was the original color, which turns out to be Harvest Yellow. So after much research I just decided to take a chance and order a bottle of touch-up paint for a dime-sized chip that happened when a sprinkler fell off a shelf in my garage onto the car. I've put four coats on the spot today and it is exactly the same color; even after all those years. Ordering was very easy and my paint came very quickly. All in all, an excellent transaction and great product.
