CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1969 BMW (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code can be located underneath the hood near the front strut tower, on the firewall, or the passenger side wheel housing. Click here for BMW paint code location chart and paint code label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1969 BMW (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Recent Customer, owner of a BMW

I purchased touch up spray for my BMW. It was a perfect match. Perfect! A motorcycle hit my driver's side rearview mirror knocking off the dust cover. The replacement was, of course, unpainted. The match, as I said, was perfect. I had enough left over to repaint a badly chipped airdam. That can of spray saved me hundreds of dollars. I will not hesitate to use their products again.

Matthew T, owner of a 1976 BMW from Greeley, CO

The paint job was quick and easy--saved well over $1000.00. The paint wasn't an exact match--but close enough. Thanks for the help and online tutorials!

Simon Collins, owner of a 1998 BMW M3 from Arcadia, California

I purchased a can of aerosol spray paint to complete some body repair work on my driver's door, BMW hellrot red 314. If there is such a thing as perfectly matched paint, this was it, absolutely perfect. On top of that, the paint provided excellent coverage over gray primer. After a second thin coat, the primer was no longer visible and there was no color difference/shift between the primed area and the surrounding original paint. Finally, the aerosol can had tons of propellant and the nozzle was comfortable, easy to use and keep clean.Absolutely thrilled.
