CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1981 Toyota (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example. Click here for Toyota paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1981 Toyota (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Greg Overton, owner of a 1980 Toyota from Johnston, LA

I'm glad I found Automotive Touchup. They are a fast and accurate source of paint for use on my vintage Land Cruiser FJ40's. In the past, I had paint shops custom mix touchup paint and this was slow and unpredictable. I would recommend ATU as a better solution. Greg Overton Land Cruiser Nation

Larry E, owner of a 2005 Toyota 4Runner from Honolulu, HI

The color is so well matched that it is very difficult to see the touchup. I would like to add that I did not realize the proper procedure for the touchup so I have ordered the solvent, adhesion promoter, and clear coat to redo the work. The price is also very reasonable.

Cecil T, owner of a 2004 Toyota Avalon from Jacksonville, AR

Sister in law broke off her mirror on her 2004 Avalon and being cheap asked me to get a mirror and paint it. Was surprised when I put it on the car that the paint was a exact match. I had to look twice because it was such a close match. Made my day and my sister in law is extremely happy 80 bucks for the mirror and paint, dealer wanted 200 bucks. Thanks a lot, product is so good that other family members want flaws fixed on their cars also. Going to be busy for a while.
