CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1973 Toyota (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example. Click here for Toyota paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1973 Toyota (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Larry E, owner of a 2005 Toyota 4Runner from Honolulu, HI

The color is so well matched that it is very difficult to see the touchup. I would like to add that I did not realize the proper procedure for the touchup so I have ordered the solvent, adhesion promoter, and clear coat to redo the work. The price is also very reasonable.

Jackie P, owner of a 2005 Toyota Avalon from West Monroe, LA

This was my first attempt to use touch up paint. My car had some small nicks, but also some deep scratches on a lower panel by the front bumper. Before I began, I read the directions and watched the videos. I am pleased with the results. The paint match was good, especially since my car had a pearl finish. My results could have been improved if I had sanded the scratched area more thoroughly. If you can still feel the scratch at all, it will show through the paint.

Edward S, owner of a 2005 Toyota Avalon from Saint Louis, MO

The spray can worked great! A little bit of light sanding and the spray can saved me over $600 as that was the lowest quote to fix the bumper on our Toyota. Your paint was definitely one of my more worthwhile purchases.
