CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2015 Mercedes-Benz Truck, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The code on your identificaiton sticker will normally have many numbers in it with no prefix identifying a number as a paint code. The paint code will either be three or four digits. Some times the code will have a prefix of DB but this is not consistant. Click here for Mercedes Benz examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2015 Mercedes-Benz Truck is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Clint Hightower, owner of a 1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK Class from Elk Grove, CA

This paint is some of the best I have ever used. In addition to the excellent product, the directions are equally as well done and the shipping is fast and well packed. I have done dealer looking paint repair jobs on my wifes mercedes and another one I bought to sell. The prep and technique are key, one very important point I learned the hard way was don't sand in between the base and clear coat applications. the clear coat is a smaller finer molecule that really fills in the rough base just as described and make it look perfect. I highly recommend this product and the directions, whoever wrote them really paid attention to what they were writing. Follow them and you will have great looking paint jobs! Bob Tennies, owner of a 2004 Mercedes-Benz E Class from Kailua, HI

Hello Richard, I felt a little intimidated taking on a project of touching up stone chips and other scratches on my Mercedes. I was going to take it to a professional to have it done. Then I found your website and decided to try it myself. Because it was a metallic paint I was concerned about the color match. I used the prep solution to remove any wax in the area to be touched up. I used the microdabbers to apply the base coat color to the chips and scratched. The color matches perfectly. I overfilled a few of the chips and used 1500 grit wet sandpaper wrapped around the end of a flat carpenters pencil and patiently sanded it smooth. I then hand buffed the spots with polish made for removing fine scratches from clear coat finishes. You can't see any blemishes. The job looks professional. I'm very pleased with your products and help. Thank you.
