CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1993 Ford Taurus, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1993 Ford Taurus is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Rudy R, owner of a 1993 Ford Thunderbird from Arvada, CO

This is the second order of this color and clear coat for this car. I didn't prepare the surface of the spoiler I was painting properly, so I decided to order another can. The match was perfect and the spoiler came out as desired. I also painted the trim on the side of the car and it is perfect. I have ordered several colors for other cars and am happy with your product. I am happy to recommend your product to others, as I have had great results with each color I have ordered. It has saved money for me as I didn't have to have a paint shop do work I can do with your paint products. Thank you!

John G, owner of a 1994 Ford Explorer from Springfield, OR

I was somewhat hesitant to try and match paint on a 17 year old Ford Explorer Limited. This vehicle has some 174,000 miles on the odometer in all types of weather conditions from 108F to -48F. It has never been garaged although it has seen a carport at times. The dark green on the Limited has a fleck in it, probably not easy to match after so many years. Nevertheless, the paint sent matches perfectly. I don't wish to know how you do it, I'm just happy that you do do it. Thanks....
