To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1991 Ford Streetka, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Your 1991 Ford Streetka is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.
My street/strip Mustang was showing its age with dull, peeling paint and spots of rust and body damage. I used Automotive Touchup paint per the instructions and the jobs came out beautifully. All the painting was done in my garage with a good compressor and an entry level HVLP gun!
I painted what I could get to in the engine compartment in my 1992 Mustang than I clear coated it and it came out great. The color matched the car perfect now when I pop the hood at car shows all the work I did on the motor will look clean with the rest of the engine bay painted. Thanks so much, Jerry
