CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1948 Ford (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1948 Ford (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

I purchased other vehicle touch up's, here and they always match perfectly! This is the first time for the Mustang and I expect I will receive the same perfection.

I just Received the paint today and paint match perfect for a 1968 mustang highland green bullitt car. I painted in the trunk area and some off the door jams, wow looks great!! Thanks again I'll be back..

Ronald M, owner of a 2001 Ford F250 from Unicoi, TN

I ordered paint from a competitor and did some touch up on my truck. The match to existing paint color was terrible. I reordered from automotive touch up and what a match and this on a 12 year old vehicle. Great products and great service for all my future paint needs a+++. Ron Tennessee
