To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. Just 2-toned my 2008 Dodge Ram. White truck, added Mineral Grey Metallic on the bottom up to the body line. This is my first time using basecoat/clearcoat, I'm a die-hard acrylic enamel user. I find it much easier to use than the acrylic enamel! Basecoat covered nicely in 2 coats plus a fog coat, 3 coats of clear went on beautifully with no runs and no dry spots.
