CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2001 Dodge Durango, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. 2007 and newer Dodge models usually have the paint code in the door jamb. Most paint codes are three digits long and start with a P or Q and contains letters and/or numbers. Click here for more Dodge paint code locations and paint code images.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2001 Dodge Durango is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Nathaniel G, owner of a 2001 Dodge Durango from South Fork, CO

This paint worked perfect for repair after hitting a deer and matched and blended in with the original paint color on the vehicle. Other brands I used would've taken a lot more coats and a lot of buffing compound to match what was original.

Mark S, owner of a 2001 Dodge Durango from Belfair, WA

Wow! I was afraid a bit, but excellent. Original owner left tape on the rear window too long and it bled into the clear coat. I watched the how to video's on YouTube and felt confident to make the fix. Masking product (tape and plastic) amazing. Masked off the whole area around the fender. Blended 3 base coats then followed it up after 40 minutes with 3 clear coats. I think I would of liked one more can of clear coat, but all and all it came out great. Original owner knocked off a lot of the sales price due to this problem, and it was fixed for $30 and a little elbow grease. I'd feel confident doing this to any other car or incident that pops up in the future. Very important to follow up your heavier sanding with 600 grit, with 1000 then 1500 to cut out fine lines. Watch the videos and you can't go wrong. Patience is key, can't rush the paint or the trying process. https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#A1JtdOXmzurY3 Thanks, Mark
