To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1969 Dodge (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. In a stroke of genius, I scraped the bumper of my Dodge Dakota on my garage door leaving a nice heavy scratch. After sanding down the sratch, I had to repaint. The factory matched (Dodge PXR) paint from automotivetouchup.com was perfect. After a few applications of the factory matched paint and the gloss clear coat, I had a beautiful repair. I barely had to blend as this paint matched so well. The spray cans (I opted for the spray) had a wonderful nozzle and did not clog or overspray in 20 minutes of use. Thanks for a great product.
