CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2022 Chevrolet SSR, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2022 Chevrolet SSR is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Joe DiNoto, owner of a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe from Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Wow, the car looks great! Color is a perfect match! I have an '07 Tahoe that had a bad oxidation problem developing on the drivers side door trim (a problem with all Chevy trucks in this year with the silver birch color). I followed all of the masking and sanding instructions, put 3 coats of primer, sanded, 5 coats of basecoat color, then 3 coats of clearcoat. I took my time and applied light coats to prevent running. It came out so nice that you could never tell this wasn't done by a professional body shop. Wonderful product!

Steve, owner of a 1955 Chevrolet from Pennsylvania

I used your paint on my dashboard and other inside trim pieces. It is beautiful and so easy to spray. I used the paint sprayer that attaches to the aerosol can and it worked great. I have used other paint and no way does it come close to your products. The base coat went on just like using a compressor attached to a spray gun. The clearcoat was also excellent. A beautiful glossy shine. My next project is painting the firewall. I will then be painting the whole car using your auto paint for spray guns. I will pass this information to the forum that I suscribe to. Thank you Steve
