CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2005 Chevrolet Canyon, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2005 Chevrolet Canyon is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Barbara G, owner of a 2004 Chevrolet Impala from Flagstaff, AZ

Had some weatherization on the hood of my car from ice & snow in winter showing spots where paint was removed... looked ugly. Wanted to sell my car so needed a quick and affordable fix. Matched the paint online, ordered the base + clear coat. I was amazed at how affordable this was but even more amazed at how much better my car looked afterwards. I'm not selling it now, it looks so good! Barbara Flagstaff, Az

Robert E, owner of a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander from Mechanicsville, VA

A baseball found my front fender and left a nasty dent. The local body shop asked $1450 to repair the dent and refinish the fender. With a son in college I didn't want to pay that amount for what seems to be a fairly simple repair. I hammered out the dent and repaired it with auto body filler. I ordered the base coat and clear coat from Automotive Touchup. The color is an excellent match and I was very pleased at how well the clear coat flowed out and with the deep gloss finish. The optional spray can handle was very comfortable and made control of the spray can much easier. I have painted with a spray gun and compressor before, but the finish with the spray can base coat and clear coat was just as satisfactory.
