CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1966 Chevrolet (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1966 Chevrolet (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Regis A, owner of a 1966 Chevrolet from Allison Park, PA

A bubble appeared in the paint on the front door of my 66 Chevelle from a previous repair. I spot painted the color and the clear with near perfect results. My plan was if the results did not satisfy me I could always pay a professional to correct it. No Pro needed. I was very satisfied with the outcome and will not hesitate to use your product in the future.

Manuel M, owner of a 1966 Chevrolet from Easton, PA

Ordered before always a good match.

Richard M, owner of a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette from Sunapee, NH

Touch up paint matched Clear Coat paint job from 1985. Chips no longer are visible from far away.
