CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1939 Chevrolet (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1939 Chevrolet (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Robert E, owner of a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander from Mechanicsville, VA

A baseball found my front fender and left a nasty dent. The local body shop asked $1450 to repair the dent and refinish the fender. With a son in college I didn't want to pay that amount for what seems to be a fairly simple repair. I hammered out the dent and repaired it with auto body filler. I ordered the base coat and clear coat from Automotive Touchup. The color is an excellent match and I was very pleased at how well the clear coat flowed out and with the deep gloss finish. The optional spray can handle was very comfortable and made control of the spray can much easier. I have painted with a spray gun and compressor before, but the finish with the spray can base coat and clear coat was just as satisfactory.

Richard B, owner of a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle from Patchogue, NY

I painted my entire 68 chevelle with your 12 oz. Spray cans in the original gm matador red. The car looks amazing. I wish this forum had the ability to post photos. You can't believe the results!

Earl, owner of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe from Advance, MO

It is amazing that that you all can match colors so perfectly. My 2003 Tahoe had a piece broken out of the drivers side outside rear view mirror housing. After glueing the broken out piece back in with plastic welder, I leveled it off. final sanded and painted it with your matching paint and clear coated it. You can't tell by looking at the outside that there was ever any damage. Thanks for a great service and wonderful product. Earl
