To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1989 Cadillac Eldorado, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. It was so easy I sanded down the project, put 3 coats on letting it dry just a 1/2 hour in between. Then I put on a clear coat. The paint comes out so smooth, like a wide spray. No drips, matched perfectly with the other colors! Would work great if I purchased enough to do the whole car, seeing that my color is discontinued! (edit: The color was disconitnued from the dealer, not from AutomotiveTouchup.)
