CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1972 Cadillac (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1972 Cadillac (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Happy Customer, owner of a 1973 Cadillac from Blacklick, OH

My 1973 Eldorado convertible was repainted by the second owner several years before I bought it from him in 1988. He said it was the original color, which turns out to be Harvest Yellow. So after much research I just decided to take a chance and order a bottle of touch-up paint for a dime-sized chip that happened when a sprinkler fell off a shelf in my garage onto the car. I've put four coats on the spot today and it is exactly the same color; even after all those years. Ordering was very easy and my paint came very quickly. All in all, an excellent transaction and great product.

David B, owner of a 1973 Cadillac from Blacklick, OH

A lawn sprinkler fell off a rack in my garage and kissed the Eldorado on its way down, resulting in a dime-sized chip in the paint. I've owned the 1973 Caddy since 1988 and was told by the previous owner that it had been repainted at some time before that in the original color of Harvest Yellow. I bought a touch-up bottle of it from AutomotiveTouchup and it is spot-on the same color. Pretty fast shipping too!

Ralph R, owner of a 2003 Cadillac from Safford, AZ

After some less than wonderful experiences with paint color matching with other businesses I was very pleasantly surprised with your product. I painted the side mirror I got from a salvage yard and covered scrapes on the side of my wife's car and the color match was spot on. Thank you. If my wife does not become a better driver I will be calling you again.
