I had been trying to find the color code for my 1996 Buick Regal for almost two years. I tried to find the code from service plate in the trunk. It did not have the code. I even tried to match the paint from looking at the paint and buying touch up paint in the store. I made a mess and it looked worse than when I started. I had written other touch up paint sites with no luck. I essentially gave up on it. I had some paint on the car from when my son rubbed up against the car with paint on his pants. It looked awful.
