CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1989 Bmw IX1, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1989 Bmw IX1 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Fred B, owner of a 2002 BMW 3-Series from Ajax, ON

Your aerosol spray paint - matched base coat - has well exceeded my expectations. I have an 11-yo BMW for which it was impossible to obtain matching paint locally (Toronto). After I found your website and got my matching paint, I was able to eliminate surface rust-spots so well no one ever notices the touch-up!

Jeff C, owner of a 2003 BMW Z4 from Deerfield Beach, FL

WOW. I've been using this to restore small parts on my BMW Z4. The color match is perfect right down to the size of the flakes. Don't be afraid to lay it on heavy. It flows and evaporates perfectly. Use enough basecoat to get full color coverage. The key is the clear coat. Lay it on thick and close, like 6". It doesn't run. The heavier and closer you get, the better the gloss. I just love this stuff. You could almost paint a whole car right out of the can.
